Pastor Curt, our lead pastor since 2005, has been involved in Asian-American ministry for over 30 years in Southern and Northern California. Possessing a longing to see the Asian-American church more deeply rooted in a truly authentic, life-transforming relationship with Christ, Curt's biblical teaching is inquisitive, contemplative, gospel-centered and praxis-based as he openly uncovers the challenges we face today.
Having lost his beloved wife, Grace, to cancer in 2007, Curt's own struggles have compelled him to seek God "for himself and for the sake of others" to gain precious access to a richness of life only an all-knowing and all-loving God can provide. Thus, Curt deeply appreciates the value of receiving spiritual direction from the pulpit, through weekly small group interaction, and in daily one-on-one moments. Curt's desire is for the thirsty to have ongoing access to the Fountain of Living Water.
An avid reader, his favorite authors include John Piper, Jonathan Edwards, A.W. Tozer, Timothy Keller, C.S. Lewis, Dallas Willard, Brennan Manning and Larry Crabb. Curt and his daughter Jordan reside in West San Jose and his interests include enjoying jazz and classical on vinyl, roasting coffee, photography, "comfortable camping" (cot, hammock, hot showers), an occasional wine tasting, and L.A. sport teams(!!)
