Our mission is to know Christ and make Christ known to every person around us.

Our vision is to be a multi-generational and multi-ethnic community of faith in Silicon Valley where

We want God to be seen
a. by teaching God’s Word in a way that is clear, insightful and relevant for life today
b. by encountering God in joyful, authentic worship and prayer
c. by emulating Jesus Christ in our character and service
d. by focusing our hearts upon His Presence in all our activities

We want everyone to feel loved
a. by loving people as God loves them, no matter where they are in their faith journey, and warmly
welcoming all into our island-style family
b. by fostering authentic relationships that model God’s grace, forgiveness, and compassion
c. by emphasizing small group fellowship, which offers every person a safe place where they can love
and be loved just as they are
d. by seeking to be a generous, supportive, encouraging, respectful, and healing community

We want lives to be transformed into Christ’s likeness
a. by applying insights learned through our sermon, teaching, and small group ministries
b. by encouraging steps of faith that allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives
c. by recognizing and developing the Fruits of the Spirit through exercise of the spiritual disciplines

We want hope to be delivered to a hurting world
a. by training and empowering our members to share their faith with others
b. by actively finding tangible and practical ways to love those in need
c. by providing opportunities to invite others to “come and see” what God is doing in our faith community
d. by educating, sending, and supporting people who desire to see the message and love of Jesus
Christ brought to other nations

Our methodology is to Grow the Church, Equip the Saints and Shepherd the Flock.

Our core values are Christ-centeredness, Community with camaraderie and Caring for and serving others.

Christ-centeredness
a. Focus our hearts continually upon Jesus Christ and His Presence in all our activities.
b. Desire to please Him and grow to be more like Him.
c. Remember our chief aim is to glorify God.
d. Read and meditate on God’s Word in the midst of everything we do.

Community with camaraderie
a. Develop and maintain a culture of mutual respect, trust and deep commitment to one another.
b. Exercise loving kindness, grace, humility and speaking the truth in love with one other.
c. View conflicts as opportunities to reveal God’s leading and not as obstacles.
d. Respond to the call to follow Jesus and to bring others along.

Caring for and serving others
a. Actively find tangible and practical ways to love those in need.
b. Encourage those in the Body of Christ.
c. Develop a Christlike heart towards others.
d. Share the Gospel with others when opportunities arise.

Our Membership

Orchard Valley Christian Church has a special niche in the Silicon Valley. Orchard Valley is an English speaking, multi-ethnic, multi-Asian, multi-generational family oriented church. It has been said that our church culture includes a Hawaiian hospitality flavor to it. Most of the cities of the Silicon Valley are represented at Orchard Valley: Sunnyvale, San Jose, Campbell, Saratoga, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Los Gatos and Fremont.
