Why must a believer in Jesus be baptized in water?

If you are a believer and follower of Jesus, but have never been baptized, we encourage you to get baptized. We encourage you to follow Jesus into the waters of baptism, just as He was baptized. Why must believers and followers of Jesus get baptized? One, because Jesus commanded we follow Him into the waters of baptism and, two, because He wants our water baptism to reflect His water baptism.
